I’m about education in various guises. What these all have in common is guidance in the spirit of service to the client. That means ascertaining the client’s goals and keeping them in sight as we progress.

I’ve been helping people live their best life in many respects over many years. This is the result of being guided by my values. I help others find the right direction for them by helping them to take action in alignment with their values. I see a fulfilling working life as the foundation for contentment with life in general. Career progression has therefore become my coaching niche.

I’m an Arts Law graduate with a major in Japanese and have a graduate Diploma in Education. I was trained by two of Australia’s leading personal development companies to gain certification in coaching. I’ve also been formally trained in teaching English as a foreign language and in freelance journalism.

An inquisitive nature and a love of analytical thinking have been the major drivers of my life choices. A profound interest in societies and humanity in general led him to study Law and languages. Legal studies made me deeply interested in international relations. Linguistic studies deepened my interest in intercultural communication.

From 2011 to 2020, I taught in Australian high school classrooms and guided more adventurous pursuits in the great outdoors. My fondest memories during this period were of developing students’ life skills, including sense of direction, in challenging situations that extended beyond the confines of the classroom.

In 2021, I acted on the skills I’d gained in online teaching during 2020. I began teaching remotely and with a flexibility of location that was impaired almost only by a pandemic. I enjoyed the freedom of being able to teach and guide from afar.

Even so, I like to balance this with traditional interaction face to face and in person. I therefore returned to the field of outdoor skills teaching after lockdown was lifted in 2021. I even returned to the physical classroom in moderation in 2022 when I was offered the opportunity to teach Chinese.

I’ve been a widely roaming international adventurer who has experienced many challenges with direction. I enjoy adjusting my direction according to changing circumstances and enjoy helping others to find the direction that is currently best for them.
